Black Coffee scheduled for 20 shows for his 2018 residency in Ibiza

After landing his first ever Ibiza residency at a new club Hi (formerly known as Club Space), the most celebrated South African Disc Jockey – Black Coffee is scheduled for 20 shows for his 2018 residency.

Black Coffee will kick off the residency on 26 May with an opening party. He will be doing 20 shows from May until 06 October 2018. Hi-Ibiza is the club formerly known as Space. Brought to you by Ushuaia Entertainment, it specializes in bringing you hedonistic nights with the world’s biggest DJs. Merging cutting-edge creativity with incredible music to produce a new kind of nightlife for Ibiza and the world.



Black Coffee (born Nkosinathi Maphumulo on 11 March 1976) is a South African record producer and a Disc Jockey. He began his career around 1995 and has released five albums and a Live DVD under his Johannesburg-based record label – Soulistic Music. He is arguably the most prominent electronic music producer in Africa. Black Coffee had his big break shortly after being chosen as a participant in the 2004 Red Bull Music Academy held in Cape Town. In September 2015, he won the “Breakthrough DJ Of The Year” award at the DJ Awards in Ibiza (Spain), a few weeks after the release of his fifth studio album, Pieces Of Me.

Maphumulo was born in Durban, South Africa and grew up in Mthatha – Eastern Cape. In 1990, he was involved in a car accident that left his left arm paralyzed. On 13 May 2011 he married actress and TV Presnter Mbali Mlotshwa. He has two children with Mlotshwa, Anesu and Asante Maphumulo.
