DJ Nascent is a self-taught House Music producer & a DJ who hails from the dusty streets of Rotterdam Village in Limpopo (South Africa). He is currently based in Tembisa and his love for music started at the age of 16.

A producer and a DJ who knows what to bring out in a song and in a set to actually rock a crowd. This can be judged based on how his singles have been received by most South African Radio Stations and abroad. With hit songs like “Xi ni yengile”“Gambu-Gambu” & “Vukosi” still making waves on several clubs around South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Zimbabwe & Angola; there is no doubt that DJ Nascent is one of the best music producers coming from the EDEN of Africa – Limpopo. Some of his achievements include being nominated for Munghana Lonene FM Xitsonga Music Awards XMA11XMA12 & XMA13, toping charts at MLFM, YFM, Metro FM, Capricorn FM, GCR FM, Mala FM, Univen FM, GTFM, Voice of Tembisa FM, Alex FM, Motheo FM, Kovsie FM, Thetha FM and Yarona FM (Botswana) among others.

DJ Nascent, known for being a perfectionist, is currently working on an album “House Alchemist 1”which will feature and incorporate sounds from various artists from other African countries. His aim is to achieve a unique sound, different to anything he has produced before. The fresh sound that he is bringing can be heard on his latest single “Khoma La” which features King M on the vocals; this single has already entered Univen FM’s Top 30 within 5 days of it’s release.

In honour of his father, who struggled to make it big in the music industry, DJ Nascent named his record label Khalanga Records, the Baloyi clan name from the Vatsonga Tribe in South Africa. Through Khalanga Records, he has worked with several artists such as Limpopo Roots, DJ Gami Swaga, DJ Thakzin, Nurse Matlala, Stones & Bones, Q-Base (Point 5), T Rose, Themba Manganyi, Les-Ego, DJ N Squared, Bee Da Drummer, Tronix Deep, Tokzic, Wendy, Zimi, Afro Robots, B Classic, DJ Animal, Mapele Xibelani, King M, RHM, Mamickey, DJ Cassano, Manana, Big Welly, Kulani, LSG, DJ Graveyard, Mash and DJ Gibbz among others.

His music style is Afro-House with modern house tunes supported by strong drum beats which gives it a distinct sound with crossover appeal which will have the whole family dancing.
