Ghanaian artist, AJ Cartel Tomson set to drop his highly anticipated album

Thompson Oluwafemi Derrick is a Ghanaian born (Accra) popularly known as Jay Tomson within the music circles.

Jay Tomson has now evolved, his stage name AJ Cartel Tomson, he’s doing genres such as Afro Beat, Urban Music, Tech House, Trap and Electro.




Born and bred in Ghana, but currently based in South Africa and in a romantic relationship with a South African Gynaecologist Dr Rose Lebo Matlakala. Aj Cartel Tomson is the second born of three, in a family of Nathenael Thompson and Victoria Yaa Ahiable. He attended his primary school at Deyoungsters International School and went to St. John’s Grammar Secondary school; he then went to the Institute of Technology and Management Studies College where he studied Information Technology and Media Studies. He is the CEO Kobogroup of Company Africa, CEO BeardGang Money Record South Africa.co-founder of One World Confederations Tour & Promoter for Support Local Artist & Venues Group in the USA and Africa.

AJ Cartel Tomson has worked for Excellence of Management Studies in Computing as a Manager; then migrated to Grace Secretarial College as an IT tutor. He went to King of Hope International School as a creative arts and Music tutor.




AJ CARTEL TOMSON’S MUSICCAL JOURNEY

In 2003, the passion of music production ignited deep within him that he decided to drop everything that appeared to be his source of living. He and fellow music addicts collided and formed a band referred to as Shakers Band, which consisted of three members and their first debut album comprised of ten tracks.

In 2005, AJ Cartel Tomson went solo resorting to Afro Pop genre and released eight singles of which the first single titled John Bull (2005), Kobo Girls (2007), Baba God (2008) and Ibiza Night Life (2010).




In 2011, he was signed as an artist at Kobo Music Group Africa and he was as well assigned as one of management crew due to an outstanding participation. Then in the following year he got his way out to Rwanda as a featured artist of top10 Insango Radio show.

In 2013 he was nominated the first of the top5 artist by popular votes on Afro Radio in the United Kingdom for three weeks. In 2014 he earned a deal from a fashion company in Ghana (Kabbah Clothing Company) as a brand ambassador for a year. He was also invited to his first live performance in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. His tours drove him to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.




This year (2019), AJ Cartel Tomson is set to drop his highly anticipated evergreen supermega 40 Songs Album’s Called VictoriaFallSon, the album is named after his beloved mother, Victoria Yaa Ahiable from Ghana. The musician believe naming the entire albums after his mother has been one of his greatest things he has always wanted to do for her because growing up as a child, she has always been helpful in his hard times and dark days over his entire life; even now the musician continue emphasizing the kind of love and care his mother has showed him. He has absolutely no idea how to thank her, the main reason why he boldly decided to dedicate the whole Album to his mother as a way of celebration of true African woman of nature. “Sometimes I wept when I think of my mother, because when I fall she gave me a shoulder so I can rise up with her last Cents,” says AJ Cartel Tomson.

VictoriaFallSon album was produced by one of the best Ghanaian music producer, Clement K, Arthur’s as bra kofi BEAT official Kobo Music Group Africa house producer based in Ghana. The album was recorded in South Africa at Onit Studios by Captain, he feature both Africa popular artists from Malawi, Kenya and DJs from South Africa including two of his upcoming artists Apeazy and Nthati from South Africa.




The four CDs album promo tour across South Africa start this year, 2019 in summer; officially powered by South African most popular and best events management company called Bond Event Management SA in Johannesburg. The African Tour will kick off in 2020 from Malawi, Kenya Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda and Tanzania; and across Europe starting from France to Australia. The official release date will be confirmed very soon.
