Nike unveils new yellow jersey for Bafana Bafana

Nike has unveiled the new Bafana Bafana yellow Jersey for 2018. The nation’s emerging crop of players will wear a new collection highlighted by a yellow home kit embellished with a powerful green print on the sleeves. The away kit is a bold green with a cascading horizontal pattern.

In the past, South Africa’s national side has been blessed with star players who plied their trade in the big European leagues like the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, French League 1, Portuguese League, Bundesliga, Russian and Turkey among others.

Players like Lucas Radebe, Phill Masinga, Shaun Battlet, Benny McCarthy, the late John Shoes Moshoeu, Steven Pienaar, Quinton Fortune, Aaron Mokoena, Mark Fish, Sibusiso Zuma, Doctor Khumalo, Delron Buckley, Siyabonga Nomvete, Macbeth Sibaya and Helman Mkhelele were representing South Africa with pride.

Today the squad is predominantly picked from the domestic league (PSL), where most of our youngsters feel more comfortable than going overseas for greater challenges and polish their skills with the best in the world. The experience of playing in Europe can help us to qualify for major competitions (World Cup & Afcon) and compete with the best.

The South African Football Association collection launches on 27 April 2018.
