Mthokozi Khathi better known by his stage name Dj Tira (Afrotainment), a Durban House and Gqom music boss is one of the most sought after talents in the entertainment industry. He is a South African music label boss who is known for introducing artists such as Big Nuz, Dj Fisherman, Durban’s Finest and Dj C’ndo from his stable Afrotainment among others.
The Makoya Bearings set twitter alight by his announcement of how much a Dj Tira feature now costs. The music industry is becoming more expensive in South Africa, considering how piracy has taken the industry by storm. I wonder how will an artist profit after paying that much not for a full album, but a mere feature which will be pirated in the South African Taxi Ranks.
Below is how the fans responded to the announcement:
For all artists/ DJs who wants Chikichikichaaaaaa on their songs…. the price has gone up! R50k. Verse is R70k. Chorus is R100k. Faka imali uzobona! Uzongithola eAfro!
