Nkosinathi Maphumulo, popularly known as Black Coffee has surprised his fans with a brand new EP titled ‘Music is King’.

This Extended Play (EP) project paves way for his much awaited concert of the same name. On this one, it is notable that Black Coffee was very selective when it comes to featured guests on the project.




The EP features great South African vocals; the likes of Samthing Soweto, Mondli Ngcobo and Msaki among others.

With this project, Black Coffee delivers to a listener a soothing mood – with mellow and smooth beats on few opening tracks. It’s only on tracks like Any Other, Thando and Muye, where we see Black Coffee attaching his signature style of tribal, groovy beats and heavy baseline.

The Ep is packed with 6 brand new tracks. Black Coffee credits Rich Mnisi as creative director for the album art cover and Trevor Stuurman as the photographer.
