Jay Tomson drops a new song for FIFA 2018 world cup Russia

Thompson Abbey Oluwafemi Derrick is a Ghanaian born in Accra; better known as Jay Tomson within the music circles. He is the second born of three, in a family of Nathenael Thompson and Victoria Yaa Ahiable. He attended his primary school at Deyoungsters International School and went to st. John’s Grammar Secondary school; then Institute of Technology and Management Studies University College, where he studied information technology and media studies.

He had his primary and secondary education in Ghana. He holds a certificate in Information Communication Technology and Cinematography. He is multi-talented, a dancer, composer, song writer and a singer. His love for music and talents would later direct his focus into professional music and performances. He worked for Excellence of management studies in computing as a manager then migrated to Grace secretarial college as an IT tutor. He later went to King of Hope International School as a creative arts and music tutor.



2018 Jay Tomson started his yearly projects with a song which he is mainly shifting the focus to Soccer due to his pssion and love for the beautiful game. He believes that the only weapon that can unite people across the globe is through the beautiful game and Music. So this year he is taking the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia tournament to raise funds in the aid of promoting local young kids soccer field development in the African continent as a way of Promoting African football through music; and dance to help eradicate child labour and teenage pregnancy among other challenges.

The title track for this project is called “Hands up in the world (FIFA World Cup Russia 2018)”. “Hands up in the world” features South African RNB singer Karen Matore, the song is now handled and managed by kobomusic Group Africa and one of South Africa Movie and video productions Company called Blackeye Pictures SA PTY owned by Mr Mchumane Howard Nciweni. Jay Tomson is still looking forward to partner with any investors and financial institutions as well as food and beverages companies to come on board and all Worldwide Media houses to make this project a success in the future development of Africa Football. “Hands up in the world” will officially to be released worldwide in March 2018 for online distribution.
